TestFlight
The TestFlight tab manages beta testing for Apple apps — beta groups, testers, and build distribution.
The tab is two columns: a beta groups list on the left and the selected group’s detail on the right.
Beta groups
The sidebar lists every beta group with an Internal or External badge. To create one, enter a New group name, optionally tick Internal group, and click Create group (“Group ‘<name>’ created”).
Internal vs external groups
| Group type | Build distribution |
|---|---|
| Internal | Testers automatically receive every processed build — there’s no manual assignment, so no distribute control is shown. |
| External | You choose which build to distribute. |
For an external group, pick a build from the Distribute build dropdown (valid, non-expired builds only) and click Distribute (“Build distributed to group”).
Invite testers
In any group, add a tester with their email, first name, and last name, then click Invite (“Invited <email>”). The group’s testers are listed below with their name and email.
