Metadata & translations

The Metadata tab edits your listing’s localized text. It is editable for both Apple and Google apps. For Google, Athena handles the Play edit open/commit cycle for you behind the scenes — you just edit and save.

The tab is two columns: a locale list on the left and the fields for the selected locale on the right. Locales with unsaved changes show an amber dot.

Fields

The fields shown are driven by what the provider supports for that app, each with its own character limit. The editor shows a live current/max counter that turns red when you exceed the limit.

Sync, edit, save

  • Sync — pulls the latest localizations from the store. Shows “Synced N locale(s)”. If nothing is synced yet, the tab shows a Sync from store button.
  • Edit — changes are tracked as a per-locale draft (the amber dot marks unsaved locales).
  • Save — writes the active locale’s changes. Shows “Saved locale”. The button is disabled when there are no changes.

Translate All

Translate All uses AI to translate every locale from your app’s primary locale. It’s disabled while a translation run is in progress, or if the primary locale is unknown.
